Services

While it's Ryan's preference to speak with all prospective clients about their specific performance needs, the descriptions below provide the outlines for Ryan's basic capabilities. Once Ryan understands the event, the intended audience, and the reasons for hiring a performer, the proper entertainment solution can be recommended.

You don't want "just another show", and frankly Ryan doesn't want to DO "just another show." The goal is to make it a win-win situation for everyone.

Close-up and Sleight-of-hand

Whether it's a large cocktail reception, an intimate dinner party, or even a full banquet, magic can be performed right in front of your guests as Ryan works the crowd, one person at a time. As he roves from group to group, table to table, or room to room, Ryan can tailor his performance to the types of people he encounters. This type of magic is best for cocktail parties, hospitality suites, or intimate after-dinner performances. Magic that happens right in front of the audience members, sometimes in their very hands, is what creates a truly memorable experience. Cards, coins, dollar bills, or rubber bands... whatever the illusion, it's slight-of-hand intrepidly executed.

Stage and Stand-up Shows

If it's big crowds or a long list of guests you need to entertain, perhaps a larger show is in order. Ryan is capable of involving both young and old with his platform-style performances. Whether he's twisting your perception of reality with something as simple as a daily newspaper, or performing a large scale illusion choreographed to music, Ryan is a dynamic performer who fills the stage with his energy. Capable of playing to ballroom banquets or to the audience of a large theatre, his illusions transcend the stage and bewilder from afar. It's serious magic, not taken too seriously. A full sound system would be provided for the show, if necessary.

Trade Shows

Armed with an Ivy League diploma and his bag of tricks, Ryan is ready for whatever marketing challenge your company might present. As the son of a consumer marketing executive, it's in the genes! Ryan is able to translate the goals and objectives of your message to the target audience using his universal language: the art of magic. Whether your problem is getting the attention of your prospective buyers or trying to communicate with them once they're at the booth, Ryan is capable of engaging them in a unique, entertaining, yet intellectual way. As Marshall McLuhan put it, "the medium is the message." Ryan is also able to perform magic with your executive team, whether that means teaching them a simple illusion to start a presentation, or producing your CEO from thin air! Custom illusions are available.

Consulting and Teaching

Maybe you don't need magic, but you do need something magical... Oftentimes magic can be cleverly incorporated into marketing promotions, theatrical productions, or other forms of entertainment to create interest in a product or instill wonder throughout the audience. Ryan's consulting experience includes work for books, art galleries, business presentations, and interactive media. He's consulted on projects for Scholastic Books and Disney Online, as well as Las Vegas luminaries Siegfried & Roy. Ryan has also consulted with film/stage directors, helping them create themed illusions and special effects.

Speaking

Magic is a unique art form, though it is the fusion of many creative fields. Magic can be an inspiring experience when either presented as an art form or within the context of a larger message. As both a magician and a digital media designer, Ryan has been asked to give talks to numerous organizations in an effort to bring forth the parallels of magic to other creative endeavours. Ryan is not only capable of speaking about magic's relationship to other fields of study, but also of teaching magic to those interested in using magic for their own presentations. Magical moments can be created to illustrate points, help instill an emotion throughout your audience, or simply break the ice. Please inquire about this special form of coaching, and let Ryan's years of public speaking and performance aid you in yours.
